Kikicon! November 22nd 2008

12pm: Cosplay Photoshoot, Signups, and Social Hour!

This is how to start an event! Get to know the staff, the vendors, and each other as you do what cosplayers and fans all love to do: take pictures, tons of them! We will also be doing a mass group photo. We will be registering people for events and such at the same time!  For some masquerade entries we will also be doing a little judging.

1pm: Cosplay Volleyball Begins!

Get ready teams! It is time to take to the sand (yes sand!) for a little cosplay-competition! In addition to the typical rules of volleyball, the referee is looking for execution of "Cosplay Special Moves", which are worth extra points! These special moves not only have to look cool, but they have to be effective and you have to have a chant or cry to accompany them! Some of these special moves are allowed to break regular volleyball rules. You can't simply make them up on-the-fly either, you must register your special move! Sign up your team of 4 and register by emailing here.

1pm: Anime Imagine If!

Think you know your anime characters? That may not matter in this game, as everyone votes on what they think about those characters! If you've never played Imagine If, you normally play with friends and answer questions like... "What if xxxx was a movie from the 1990s, which one would they be?". Our style of Imagine If will take us on a walk around the lawn with characters from most of your favorite shows. Games run as long as there are people interested, and take about an hour each. No need to register!

2pm: Picnic with AZLolita!

Join us for some sandwiches, cupcakes, and drinks as we lounge around the courtyard to relax, socialize, and enjoy a wonderful AriZona afternoon!

3pm: Cosplay Dodgeball!

A single-elimination dodgeball tournament! Form your team of 6 players and toss it out until only one team is left standing. To register your team, send an email here!

5pm: Cosplay Chess!

Feel like being a tool for a chess master striving to overcome a vicious opponent? Jump on our chess board in costume and act out their battle as one side tried to check-mate the other! You do, in fact, get to act out the plays! Cosplay required for entry. This is limited to the number of pieces available, so first-to-register is in.  The game controllers will be determined randomly from interested parties! Email here!

7pm: Masquerade Judging!

No all-day judging required for this event. In order to allow all of you to compete in events, the craftsmanship judging will be stream-lined. Each appointment is only 5 miuntes long, so you have that time to show off your garment. Depending on the number of entries, the start time for the masquerade event may slide slightly, but we will have entertainment. Have all your materials ready to go. To register for this event, email here. Register before the event to ensure your slot.

Afterwards: Masquerade and Concert!

The masquerade begins as soon as judging is over!  For the halftime show we have a small performance by Earl Sheppard.  Following the judging we will move things around and welcome Toybox for a live performance!
